ALL SLVUSD SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED TODAY!
All SLV schools will be closed for Friday, February 24th. The SLV Storm Team made this determination based on slippery road conditions, downed trees, the inability to drive many of our bus routes, and the current power outages in the valley. As we continue to adhere to the Santa Cruz County warning to avoid travel within the Santa Cruz Mountains and erring on the side of caution, we feel this is the best decision to keep our families safe during this unusual weather pattern.
Although this is NOT a requirement, if you are interested in an independent study opportunity related to this school closure, please contact your school site.

During the months of February and early March, our District Cabinet Team schedules to meet with staff and parents for each school site to collect feedback in regards to our LCAP (2021-2024) goals. With the projected incoming storm and considering the current mudslides and potential closure of the Felton intersection once again tomorrow morning; the District feels it is in the best interest of our families and staff to take a Storm Day for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, 2023. In doing this, it will limit vehicle traffic across the Valley and allow for the necessary clean-up of roadways. This means that there will be no school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, 2023 for all of SLVUSD. The District will plan to return to school on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
