Superintendent's Office
As Superintendent, the focus is to provide the best educational opportunities for our future leaders, citizens, and community members. Opportunities, experiences, and long-term educational goals vary from student to student and that is why we must continually adapt our educational practices to meet the needs of our students.
SLVUSD's Mission Statement is "Working Together to Ensure All Students Learn and are fully Prepared for College and Career." This phrase resonates with the familiar saying that "it takes a village to raise a child" and this is never more seen than within the SLV Community. The SLV Community, which I am a proud member, is dedicated to the success of our schools as many graduates of SLVUSD have stayed in the Valley and have helped to shape the culture it is today.
We all know there will be ups and downs and that nobody is perfect. We strive to make the best decisions, we reflect on our practices continually, we take critical feedback, we celebrate diversity, and we make the necessary adjustments in the best interest of our students/children.
As your Superintendent, I want to make sure we as a District, embody the values set by our Board of Trustees:

As we reflect on these values and the commitment of our staff to shape the individual lives each day, we want to thank you and let you know we look forward to each year's new experiences and opportunities. As we excel, overcome, and lead with purpose, we continue to grow towards greatness. A favorite saying I passed on to my students, "Good, Better, Best; never let it rest until your Good gets Better, and your Better is Best."
