During the closure - the District thanks you for your cooperation and understanding!
Here are a few pictures of Phase I.
Current pictures posted represent the Turf and Padding removal.
Next stage will include the removal of the sub layers of fines and base rock.
More progress on the field. This week will mainly be the off-haul of the gravel base and the assessment of the existing drains to determine if we have to upgrade or not.
Stay Tuned...
The Football Field is now a clean slate. Base layer and Goal Posts are removed. The Base Layer came to nearly 900 Yards of Decomposed Granite.
Next steps will be taking the field down 18", injecting a 5% mix of concrete, then relaying the field to the new grade.
Following that phase, the drainage will be repaired as it has failed and will not support a heavy rain season. The new system will be composed of larger pipes and larger drain rock that will not break down and clog the perforated pipe.
Progress... the field is beginning to come alive with color again!
The field is scheduled to be covered by the end of the week. Lettering and Cougar Paw to follow. Goal posts to be painted Friday and new directional flags installed.
The latest pictures of the field... it is real close to being completed!
